Earth and Space Sciences Field Trip

$1,578 goal
The Description
With these funds, I will host two separate field trips, one for my Astronomy class and one for my Earth & Space class.
The Earth & Space field trip includes transportation and admission to the Perot Museum, a short film, and an auditorium program for all students. Students will complete a short graded task in the Dynamic Earth hall of the museum where they'll apply their classroom knowledge and make connections with museum exhibits. The short film is called "Volcanoes 3D: The Fires of Creation" where students will watch the story of the creation of the planet and the story of us. The auditorium program will guide students through an investigation of possible causes of the Cretaceous extinction.
The Astronomy field trip includes transportation and admission to the Noble Planetarium at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Students will complete a short graded task at the Launchpad exhibit in the museum. At the Noble Planetarium, students will explore constellations, soar over beautiful planets and imagine life beyond Earth!
Back Up Plan
If we do not reach our goal I will purchase the following for each class:
Earth & Space: transportation, admission, and either the film or auditorium program.
Astronomy: transportation, admission, and Noble Planetarium program only
