The Description
With these funds I will...be purchasing a laptop for our classroom. This laptop will be used to hook to our document camera and projector. At this time, my students do not have a laptop to use in class to project educational videos, games, or learning activities that we can use as a class. We currently do everything paper and pencil style. This money will 100% impact my students and their learning. It will be used by myself and the students for learning purposes only.
These students deserve this laptop/purchase because we live in a high poverty location in our state, and with the changing curriculum, the students need first hand experience with technology in order to succeed and survive in our ever changing technological world.
I have researched computers/laptops and plan to purchase an HP or Windows computer for the kiddos when the funding has concluded.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...classroom supplies for math. I will use the money put toward the laptop to buy math manipulatives for the students to use since they will not have the technology requested. This will atleast give the students a more hands on approach to learning.
