An Enchanted Library for All

The Description

With these funds I will furnish and stock our new library as I fill this position which has been empty for two years. With a blank slate, empty walls and bookshelves just waiting to be filled, monies raised will help to create an enchanted forest to foster a culture of reading throughout our prek-sixth one district small farm town school. My hope is to create a room where students want to run to; to open a book and be lost in a world of possibilities. 

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will start small and purchase books in the areas we are lacking the most as well as some essential pieces to add to the room to create a comfortable, welcoming environment for students of all ages.

About the Creator

After thirteen years within a K-4 classroom, I am thrilled to accept the position as our new school librarian / media educator for the following school year. Beginning with a blank slate, empty room and a mind full of ideas, I proudly am ready to take on the role of bringing a culture of reading to our school. As a mother to two little boys who attend my school, as well as a fifth generation farmer's wife, my roots are here and with nervous feet but excited plans I am ready to take on this adventure!
