The Description
With these funds I will...send 21 students and mentors to FIRST Robotics Championships in Houston, Texas. This will cover entry fee, food , travel, and hotels for 1 week. The students are high schoolers, ranging from 9th grade to senior. We have 6 freshman, 3 sophomores, 3 juniors and 1 senior. The FIRST Robotics Championship in Houston Texas is a chance for our team to compete against tea.s from around the globe. There are teams from Mexico, Isreal, Australia and many more. Of course their are quite a lot if teams from across the USA as well.
Back Up Plan
If we do not reach our goal we will only send 6 students and a couple mentors, just enough to drive and fix the robot.
About the Creator
When little people fight
We may look easy pickings but we've got some byte!” ~ from Les Miserables
The tiny TroBot team brought home the silver medal from their first meet and gold from their second competition! We are currently ranked 5th in the entire state of Michigan (out of 482 teams), 50th in the USA (out of 2706 teams), and 57th in the WORLD (out of 3324 teams)!
Our team consists of 6 freshman, 3 sophomores, 3 juniors, 1 senior and 8 mentors. We build the robot in 6 weeks adding up to over 1000 hours. The students learn design, build, programming, electrical, wood working, public speaking and many more things.
We need to raise $10K in the next two weeks to get the team to Houston for the World Wide competition. Are you willing to help these amazing students make this dream come true?

We are very grateful for the volunteer mentors who have shared their knowledge to train the students to be courageous competitors. We are impressed and proud of our team’s gracious professionalism. They have helped so many other teams build better and collaborate better!
