Teaching Tech With Tablets in Fourth Grade

$150 goal
The Description
With these funds I will be able to purchase 2 Amazon Kindle Fire tablets ($49.99 each) for my students. These tablets will allow my students access to technology for reading and for research in the classroom. This resource would greatly benefit my students by providing them with innovative, interesting ways to engage with the concepts they are learning. By being able to engage in content matter across the curriculum, they will be exposed to the material they need to learn, but get to engage with it in a fun, hands on way. Students will have access to new ways to learn and retain the information they will be learning in my classroom, as well as develop their technology skills with apps that will allow them to master mathematical facts, create interactive presentations, develop QR code scavenger hunts, and have greater access to books through an e-book library. All of these things are important and will allow them to become more successful academically. Having this resource available to my students will also allow them to participate in rich, meaningful interactions about the topics being presented in class.
I would love for you to be a part of helping me enrich my students school experiences this year by incorporating technology into my instruction. For more information on the tablets I will purchase, click on this link: Amazon Fire Tablet.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will use the funds to offset the cost of purchasing the tablets myself.
