The Description
With these funds I will...
foster the love of reading in the classroom. My students are presently reading the novel, Poppy, by Avi. When we finish the book, the students can't wait to read more about Poppy. I would love to purchase a class set of the book, Poppy and Rye, from the Dimwood Series, which includes the book Poppy, in order for them to continue reading this great children's literature.
The average cost per book is $8. and I would like to purchase a set of 50 books.

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...as many copies of the book as possible in order to begin a collection.
About the Creator
For the past 25 years, I have been fortunate to touch the lives of many children. I am a 5th grade teacher who is very passionate about what I do. I help students reach for their academic potential on a daily basis. After 25 years, I still love my career, and the children who are part of it.
