The Description

With these funds I will purchase 5 OSMO Genius Kits. The kits cost $99 each. The library media center already has the iPads that are required to support and run the technology.

The OSMO technology will provide the many students who daily visit the school's library media center with an opportunity to interact either individually or in small groups. Our high school consists of many low income students whose only access to technology is when they are on the school's campus and in the library media center. The OSMO technology would foster learning in key areas such as: social-emotional skills, creative thinking, art, STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Our school also has a high ESOL population and the OSMO activities would develop the students' English language skills. 

Back Up Plan

If we do not meet our goal, we will purchase the amount of OSMO Genius Kits that the moneys invested provides. If not able to reach the minimum $99, we would purchase paperback books to be used for checking out from the library media center. Books (the print version) are still one of the best "technologies" available (and they do not need batteries :).

Yes, we are off and running toward meeting our goal. $133 is a great start. We have also over 300 Facebook SHARES and that is great. The weekend target is to reach the halfway amount of $248. 

Continue to SHARE on Facebook and make an investment. The amount, no matter how small or large is appreciated. The sooner the goal is reached, the sooner we can purchase the OSMO Genius Kits and the students can begin using this fun and educational technology.
