help students pursue their unique interests and passions. Funds will be used to purchase supplies and rewards for students whose Passion Projects are exemplary and innovative.

Throughout the course of this year, our 8th Grade Innovators are working on passion projects. They are identifying topics that are close to their hearts, researching these topics, and ultimately developing a project connected to their topic. We are in the early stages of this process and projects already range from street art to sports history to community biographies to miniature robots to mass extinction. Our Innovators have quite a varied interest.

As a capstone to this project, we would like to reward students whose plans and work are exemplary. This means both providing funding and materials to help implement or scale up their projects and providing prizes to the top-voted projects after rigorous presentations. Both of these options will help incentivize the project and help ensure that our students' projects are able to make a lasting impact in the lives of others.
