The Description

With these funds I will... 

Purchase classroom supplies for my kiddos who are well deserving of obtaining all resources necessary to show academic growth and improvement.

These funds will help my KIPP Empower Academy (KEA) kindergarten scholars obtain the necessary resources required to achieve academic success. 

This money will directly impact all our KEA kinder scholars by building more excitement within our classroom culture, help establish trust and build shared experiences between scholars. 

We plan to purchase more educational games which are great for TEAM building and icebreakers.  We will purchase crayons, pencils, coloring activity books, This is a fun way to continue the process of building a strong TEAM/CLASS based on positive relationships.

Crayons in bulk (2 packs; $59.99/each)

Activity Math Books (2 packs; $79.99/each)

pencils (20 packs; $14.99/each)

If our goal isn't met we will reduce the number of materials for our little scholars.

About the Creator

I am the Transitional Kindergarten teacher at KIPP Empower Academy. Before I joined KIPP Empower Academy, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2012 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. After graduating, I was referred from a friend to apply for the After School Program Instructor position for KIPP Empower Academy.

Once being hired in 2012, I started working for ASP for Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year and then moved to working with 1st grade for the beginning of 2013. After being offered a new position, I went back to work for Kindergarten during the beginning of 2014 to work as an Intervention Teacher.

During my free time, I like to be around my family and friends. During the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my daughter Lilianna and my fiancée. I like to go out with my daughter and fiancée by shopping, eating out, taking a walk, or taking advantage of their year pass to the Long Beach Aquarium.
