With these funds I will...

The elementary art program will be intended to be reach each grade level by developing their artistic ways.
Within this art and science program every child will have the opportunity to experience the following:
  • Communicate different ideas surrounding art and science
  • Express themselves and their ideas through artwork. 
  • Investigate the different components and nature of art. 
  • Analyze and evaluate art/science using art vocabulary and photos. 
  • Explain the different connections between art and its connections to science.
As an Educator I strive to provide my scholars with a well-rounded, innovative, and engaging educational experiences. I challenge them through experiences that strengthens their critical thinking, encourage them to explore new limits, and to innovate new solutions.  A big part of their education is ART because I strongly believe that through the art, scholars are able to not only express themselves, they are able to explore, create, and influence our future. 
 
I look for various opportunities to allow my students to explore through different art mediums, from songs to dances, plaster-mask making to sugar skull decorating; questioning and exploring how we can project our ideas through our master pieces. 
 
Most of my scholars have never had the opportunity to paint in a canvas, to explore with oil paints, and to challenge their artistic skills.  Your donation will provide them with the experience of painting just like real artist do.  It will allow them to have a master piece that will remind them of their experiences in Elementary School. All money will be used to buy canvas, paint, and paint brushes.  
 
 

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase paint supplies equivalent to the amount of funds raised.

Our scholars really deserve to experience this amazing opportunity.

Thank you, Thank you and Thank you for the funds that you have invested into this cause. As of now we are still waiting on the check to arrive, but once it does our Art and Science supplies will be ordered. These supplies will help our cause tremendously and will allow the students to further their curiosity regarding art and the field of science. You will receive future updates and photos of the students using their minds to create beautiful works of art.

I am an Intervention Aide and After School teacher and been with KEA for 2 years. I wear many different hats here at KEA and is always willing to lend a hand.

I graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a B.A. in Sociology minoring in History and obtained a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University.

In my free time, I enjoy drawing, spending time with family and friends, mentoring young adults for non-profits, and creating new ways to enjoy life as a new parent.
