The funds will be used to purchase dell laptops for the classroom. There's not enough technology available for students to utilize the vast resources available for educational purpose that are offered free through the Palm Beach School District. Students are unable to complete assignments at home and in class because of the lack of available technology. Having a class size of 30 students and only 8 computers available makes it very difficult and takes a considerable amount of time for students to complete an online-assessment or projects. Having these laptops will give the students an opportunity to develop life skills that will transfer in their future endeavors as adults. Most of our student population are low income and cannot afford these luxuries at home. Each dell laptop cost 179.99. This price does not reflect taxes.

I would like to purchase 10 Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Non-Touch laptops for students to use with programs such as Reading Plus, SIRS researcher, Achieve 3000, Microsoft Office (for research, essays, and projects), LearnZillion, and other available programs.
