At the end of our school year, Middle Academy at ENCORE is hosting a Science Fair. Students are working together to answer testable questions and will present their findings to our school community and families. We want our students to feel successful and to end the year with a bang. Unfortunately, the costs for the materials needed for the science projects continues to add up. Many of our students and families are not familiar with purchasing items for a science fair and I think this will be a great way for families of our students as well as supporters across the world to give what they can to ensure that all of our students have the materials necessary to have an amazing, out of this world, science fair.

With these funds, we will purchase the materials students need to complete their science fair projects. Some of the testable questions our students will be working on includes "How are people's moods affected by the type of video game they play?" and "How does the music you listen to affect your heart rate?", while other students' questions are "Will a mouse find cheese or peanut butter faster in a maze?" and "What substances can help slow down mold growth on strawberries?". Our students are extremely creative and in order to support their creativity and science exploration we need to raise money for tri-fold poster boards, construction paper, ink, markers, and the individual materials each group needs. The $1,000 will be used to support all 90 middle school students and while some students' projects require more materials the money will be spent fairly to ensure all students get what they need.
