With these funds I will be purchasing brand new nonfiction books on my students' current reading levels.  My students have developed a love for reading after receiving various books on their levels.  I am trying to keep their love for reading strong by providing them with nonfiction texts that are also on their level.  My students have shown tremendous academic growth this year!  Unfortunately, most of my students came to second grade far below grade level and are just now reading independently on a second grade level.  I am looking for your help to provide them with books not only on their level, but also books that will prepare for third grade.  The informational texts I have chosen will do just that!  I am trying to place an order through Scholastic's Reading Club and I have provided a copy of the link below.  The link will show you what books I plan to purchase and add to the classroom library.  These books will also be shared with the other second grade class at our school!  Thank you for all of your help and support, my students and I greatly appreciate it!
