I have a few students with special needs in our classroom as well who need supportive devices. Additionally, many students are visual and tactile learners who need the immediate stimulation from an iPad. My students attend a small school in a rural community. Our school has two teachers per grade level, and the grade levels we have are prekindergarten to sixth grade. I have students with varying abilities and learning styles. Differentiation happens in our classroom every minute of the day.

Everything is instant and visual for the generation of students we are teaching today. An iPad will keep the attention of students rather than a boring lecture or a worksheet. Also, students will receive learning at their own level by utilizing education applications. Students are actively engaged and participating throughout each lesson when an iPad is in their hands. The iPad will improve the lives of my students because they will be learning at a deeper level.

Students will also have a positive attitude towards learning because they will be learning about various topics that interest them, and they will hopefully become life-long learners. Additionally, students will also receive immediate feedback from the iPad. Finally, students will learn collaboration skills from utilizing the iPad by connecting and sharing with friends.

With these funds I will purchase a mini Apple iPad 4 and a protective case to go with it.
