With these funds I will purchase STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) materials.  I am a passionate advocate concerning STEM integration within the academic setting.  Did you know that currently only 11% of females compromise the field of engineering?  I would like to help change that!  My inquisitive young students need inquiry-based learning opportunities to begin building the foundation of STEM concepts.  Through fun and engaging play that will be located in the new STEM Center, followed by brief explanations of Why? and How?, I want to provide frequent exposure and build my students understanding, interest, and confidence concerning these important academic areas!
