In the next few weeks I will begin teaching in my very own classroom in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I am so excited to begin this journey that I have been preparing for since I graduated from Yazoo City High School in 2007.  

As exciting as this time is, one huge hurdle that students in the Mississippi Delta and other high need regions around the US face is a lack of the necessary materials that they need daily. It is extremely difficult for students to take part in activities and classwork when they do not have basic supplies.

My goal is to make sure all of my students feel cared for, loved, safe, and supported in my classroom. I will use any funds that I raise to purchase the necessary supplies to ensure my students have a classroom that is stocked full of materials and supplies.
