Verified Non-Profit
$100
$2,000 goal
The Description
Currently teachers are very limited in funding and time for quality professional development and focusing on building professional learning community.
With these funds we will...
- Help teachers become more Connected Educators
- Train teachers to host successful Twitter Parties at their schools.
- Teach staff the true meaning behind hashtags and following as they create a Professional Learning Network (PLN) among fellow teachers.
Our goal is to take our Twitter Party PD Building relationships and connections with experts, teachers, administrators and others around the world is an effective way to uncover new ideas, enhance classroom practice, & reflect on what we do in schools. Time, location, and budgets are often challenges for educators in expanding their knowledge base. Building a PLN is a great way to overcome these barriers while still gaining inspiration from amazing experts and resources.
The money will cover hotel, registration fees, travel and other small incidentals such as fees/tips.
You can follow the success of our presentation so far by using #TwitterPartyPD on Twitter.
Back Up Plan
If we do not meet our goal we will work with our PTSO and local schools to find funding anywhere we can.
