With these funds I will... purchase books from Scholastic online I have been teaching for 23 years and a number of my books are either not the current 'must reads' or they are well-loved and worn. The students have been sharing with me what books they want to read. If I want to create future readers and leaders it is very important that I work hard to provide my students with books that they don't want to put down.

Scholastic currently has a boxed set of 14 "Captain Underpants" books for $59. The students shared they would love to have me order these particular books for them. With the remaining $40 we would purchase single books including some of these titles: 2 of the new "Wimpy Kid" books/"Old School", "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs", "The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf", "The Princess and the Pig", and "The Three Ninja Pigs". My students love fractured fairy tales!
