With these funds I will purchase some much needed math manipulatives for our whole grade level. We are in need of things like fraction tiles, decimal squares, place value blocks, money, and so much more! These resources will be extremely helpful in teaching new concepts and also to reinforce concepts we have already taught. The best way to learn a new concept is to have a concrete model to help ensure the students are understanding from the first time we introduce the concept. Our school does not have a PTA so all of our funds to buy tings have to come from our budget. This money would be very helpful in making sure we have what we need.
