With these funds I will purchase a Teacher's Pay Teachers gift card.  I will use this gift card to purchase files to help my class with retell (The files are listed below.)  Story retell is an essential skill.  These students, who often come from low, socio-economic backgrounds, are often not read to at home.  Kindergarten is often the first time they are exposed to real story telling.  They deserve these resources because learning to retell helps a student understand sequence, plot, characterization and helps them build their vocabulary.  These skills are important for all students. These skills will allow them to write about, and respond to, the stories read to them. This money will help me purchase the needed files on retell which will save my valuable teaching time since the files will already be created and I won't have to create them myself. What a bonus for my students and myself!
