Accelerated Reader reaches and supports the literacy development of all students. Our THA Knights would tremendously benefit from having a differentiated reading program like Accelerated Reader to meet their many diverse needs and academic goals. Accelerated Reader will complement our school’s already high standards and help to take these students to the next level of accomplishment. Scholars at our school read on average 20-60 minutes per day. Research shows that students who read 20 minutes per day will be exposed to 1.8 million words per year and can score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests. Your donation and the implementation of AR on campus will support in making sure they are selecting books at an appropriate level for their understanding and tracking their growth throughout the year. Students will be rewarded bases on how many words they have read and on quizzes passed.

The students at THA are so incredibly deserving of this program and it stands to make a huge difference in not only their academic reading, but also their love of reading.
