The Description
Far too long history/social studies teachers have used textbooks to drive instruction. These funds will be used to support travel to a yearly conference in Pennsylvania where teachers will present to other teachers what they have learned about using technology to engage students with primary sources. My teachers will learn how to investigate the use of primary sources using docsteach.org, build and publish a module, and then present their work at the annual Pennsylvania Council for Social Studies Conference. This funding will be used to supplement traveling and lodging costs for all the teachers that want to participate. Every $ matters and traveling funds for teachers has been greatly reduced, which has been detrimental to classroom instruction and professional development. These funds will support this project tremendously. Thank you for your consideration.
Back Up Plan
Even if we don't reach $1000, all funds will go to supporting travel and lodge.
