The Description
We need Individual CD Players, Headphones with Mics and Binders to start growing our BRAINS!
CAN YOU HELP US?!?
Our school is a Title-1 campus, serving a low-income population. We strive to send our kids to and through college. The students work every day to overcome any challenge that comes their way, whether they are at home or school. Students and teachers work together to excel each and every day to make their weekly and yearly goals.
In the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of today, technology is one of the best tools that teachers can provide to their students to prepare them to be world changers. Our students are amazing, determined 3rd and 4th graders. As some of the most determined students I know, they continue to push themselves to "grow their brains" no matter what. They are on the path to and through college and they understand the importance of being an advocate for their own education.
We are lucky enough to be able to implement a great new reading program for our highest needs students. System 44 Next Generation by Scholastic is a new foundational reading program for the most challenged readers. It is proven to help students master the foundational reading skills required for success with the new standards and college and career readiness through explicit instruction in phonics, comprehension, and writing to fully implement the program we still need a few supplies for the learning lab here at KIPP Dream Prep.
We need:
· 20 - USB Multimedia Headsets w/ Volume Control
· 15 - Supersonic SC251 Personal CD Player
· 40 - 3 Ring Binders
The total cost will be approximately $1,200.00 with tax and any additional fees. All materials are being donated to KIPP Dream and will remain with the school.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will purchase as many CD players and Headphone sets as I can with the funds.
