KIPP Academy of Innovation is a tuition-free public STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) charter middle school located in East Los Angeles. We believe ALL children deserve a high quality education that provides them with the freedom, knowledge, and courage to choose their path in college and beyond.  

But…within our school, that high quality level instruction also includes additional interventions.  At KAI small group intervention is a valuable resource we offer our students in order to help them on their road to academic success.  Within the learning lab, innovators receive the same caliber of instruction that is taking place in each of their larger classroom settings with the additional inclusion of scaffolds, tools and individual attention that help them learn best.  Although our school has computers in the larger classroom setting, having our own set of chrome books, easily accessible at any given time, would only serve to enhance their time in the learning lab and minimize the disruption borrowing computers from nearby classrooms often causes.

With these funds we would…

• We would love to have a one-to-one chrome book ratio for students use within the lab
• The learning lab serves between 7 – 10 students each period
• The cost of each chrome book is $256
• $2,560 to purchase the ideal set of 10 chrome books
• $205 to cover PledgeCents fees

If for any reason we are not able to meet our goal I will use whatever funds we do acquire to purchase as many chrome books possible or on an alternate computer device that we can find at maybe a lower price.  Regardless, your donations will be tremendously appreciated and will surly be put to great use.
