The Description

With these funds, students will attend local, regional, and national competitions in robotics, rocketry, engineering, and drafting. Two Hundred students are working very diligently in our after-school program R3 - Rockets, Robotics, and Arithmetic. These funds will help to cover costs for students who attend these competitions. Their hard work pays off in indescribable ways with every opportunity they have to personally experience the level of engineering excitement and expertise of students their own ages. With the awarding of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, R3 will train students to be engineers and scientific thinkers right here in Memphis, but your donations will help the rest of the world to see what we already know: Our kids are ready to make a difference.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal, we will seek private and public funds. Historically, some public funds have not been disbursed to TN charter schools, but we are already in the process of changing that here.
