At Gary and Jerri-Ann High Tech High North County, the Science Olympiad Team is an up and coming organization that is rapidly outpacing any expectations for improvement. High Tech High North County is seeking funding for our Science Olympiad team with the objective of educating students on different science subjects. We aspire to inspire high school students to enter STEM fields with the proper training and knowledge needed to succeed. We have a goal of raising funds for the purchase of materials to train students and sustain this team for the 2016-17 season.

Nationally recognized, San Diego Science Olympiad is an annual competition for students who compete in different science subjects such as biology, chemistry, earth science, engineering, and physics. Events require either building, testing, or participating in a lab. Since San Diego Science Olympiad is a non-profit organization, costs are higher for teams to participate.

High Tech High North Country is a public charter school located in San Marcos, California which receives less funding that traditional public schools receive from the state. Therefore, our Science Olympiad team is required to raise funds independently without the help from our teachers. The birth of High Tech High came in the late 1990s by a group of esteemed directors of distinguished tech companies in San Diego who envisioned an end to the digital divide. High Tech High is a public-charter school in San Diego, California, helping diversified students develop academic, workplace, and citizenship skills by incorporating Project-Based Learning in its classrooms in order for its students to succeed after a secondary education.
