With these funds I will be helping my struggling readers learn and acquire sight words through manipulatives and sight word games and activities.  11 of my 17 students entered first grade reading below grade level.  Many of my students are English Language Learners and are acquiring the English language.  Many of my students do not have access to books at home and school is the only place where they are able to practice reading.  By having engaging word building and reading activities to support their reading accuracy and comprehension.  It is my goal to have my students on or above grade level by the end of first grade.
