Join us in celebrating young women in the inaugural Alief ISD Girls' Conference which will be held this upcoming spring at Cummings Elementary School. The conference is designed for third to sixth grade girls that attend an Alief ISD elementary and/or intermediate school. The conference is projected to host more than 300 attendees during the 1-day event, which features a panel of speakers, musical and dance performers. The Girls' Conference has two main purposes. The first is to celebrate the spirit of every girl attending. The second is to share the purpose of service and the importance behind giving back to your community. Our conference strives to educate, empower and elevate girls by connecting them to mentors, resources and opportunities that foster the spirit of sisterhood. Coupled with support from their peers, the girls will work together to plan, create and execute a community service project that will benefit the Alief/ Southwest Houston community.

These young girls are so deserving of this unique opportunity to celebrate being a girl. However, we are limited on resources to fully execute the conference’s goal. We are in need of monetary donations to purchase the following items:
