Burns Elementary is partnering with Coastal Lacrosse and the City of Charleston to offer their first ever boys and girls club lacrosse team. Students will meet 2x per week for 45 minutes of academic tutoring by a certified teacher and 75 minutes of lacrosse instruction. Students will travel with their coaches to city recreation lacrosse games and compete against other students from around the county. This is a first time opportunity for many of our students to compete in an organized sport and an even better opportunity to receive academic support after school.

Funds will be used:

• Provide snacks for each student each day.
• Offset transportation and registration costs.
• Help fill in gaps with missing equipment (helmets, shoulder pads, balls, etc).
• Buy team shirts so students can show off their hard work in school and in the community.
• Provide insurance for all students through US Lacrosse and 12 issues of US Lacrosse Magazine.
