Purchase an iPad for a group of high functioning special needs students. For special education students, learning differently should mean not learning at all. Incorporating the usage of technology allows them to access content, at their level, and make tremendous academic gains. The iPad will be used as a station for students who learn a little different are able to get their needs met by using games, leveled books, pre-recorded practice, academic modules and online curriculum. By including an iPads in the classroom, we are able to, in some ways, duplicate the capabilities of a teacher. Students will be able to work both independently and in a small group and leave with greater understanding as they can pause, rewind and rework problem at their own pace. The funds will go directly to the cost of an iPad mini, apple care, as well as a listening station for students.
