Digs for the Kids

The Description

Hello!

In the next few weeks, I will begin teaching in my very own classroom in Byhalia, Mississippi. I am so excited to begin this journey and for everyone who has supported me thus far!

As exciting as this time is, one huge hurdle that students in the Mississippi Delta and other high need regions around the US face is a lack of the necessary materials to obtain a good education. It is extremely difficult for student to take part in activities and classwork when they do not have basic supplies.

My goal is to make sure all of my students feel cared for, loved, and supported, so that they can perform to the best of their ability in my classroom. I will use any funds that I raise to purchase the necessary supplies to ensure my students have a classroom that is stocked full of needed materials.

Here is a list of some of the materials that your generous investment will help provide for my students:

  • 2 Boxes of Paper (10 Reams) - $50
  • Kleenex (18 Pack) - $36
  • 2 Boxes of Pencils (288 Count) - $32
  • Chart Paper (2 Pack) - $27
  • Sticky notes (18 pack) - $8
  • 2 Packs of Dry Erase Markers (32 Count) - $22
  • Hand Sanitizer (Pack of 2) - $20
  • Colored Pencils (125 bulk supply) -$25
  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes (3 Pack) - $12
  • Pack of Highlighters (50 Count) - $10
  • Folders (75) - $75
  • Composition Books (75) - $75
  • Paper Towels (12 Rolls) - $28
  • 3 Packs of Erasers (36 Count) - $18
  • 2 Packs of Ballpoint Pens (48 Count) - $15
  • 3x5 Index Cards (10 Packs) - $12
  • Sharpie Permanent Markers (12 Count) - $7
  • Paper Clips (Assorted 450 Count) - $6
  • Binder Clips (30 Count) - $3
  • Assorted lab supplies - $75

Any help that you can give is not only greatly appreciated by me, but also by the many students who will benefit from your gift. Thank you!

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal, I will prioritize and purchase as many materials as I can in order to ensure the daily success of my students.
