Texas A&M College Visit!

The Description

With these funds I will...take my students on a college visit to Texas A&M University.

At KIPP, one of our BIGGEST missions it to get our kids to AND through college. While Houston has many great colleges within its city borders, I want my kids to get a BIGGER picture of their potential college options. Many of my students have not left the confines of Houston, and are unaware of the great universities beyond their city's borders.. This trip would offer my kids a chance to see a college outside the city limits! I want to show them my Alma Mater (Texas A&M University) ; a college that educated me in many ways and set me on a path of success.

I also want to use these funds to take them to lunch at one of the famous dining halls on campus: Sbisa. I want them to not only see the campus, but to act like an actual student by eating at one of the delicious dining halls.

Back Up Plan

If we don't reach our entire goal we will...have to put off this BIG trip until we have enough funds.

I will take small trips individually with smaller student groups throughout the semester, because I am passionate about students getting to see as many colleges as possible before their senior year of high school.
