The Description
With these funds I will...purchase an AED machine for our school to use in case of a cardiac emergency. During a recent staff first aid training, we learned of the importance of having an AED machine on campus. We learned how they increase the chance of survival. If there is something we can do to help save lives, then we need to make it happen.
Our students, staff, and school visitors deserve to be in a safe place--a place that provides for them in case of an emergency.
We will purchase one AED machine.
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal...we will add the funds we raise to the account we have specifically identified for this cause. Our school has already raised $700.
About the Creator
I work in an elementary school in an iPad Lab (like a computer lab but with iPads). I teach every student in my school in grades K-5. In other words, I serve over 700 students per week. In this role, I teach my students classroom skills, but extend their knowledge using technology. Additionally, I pride myself in introducing all my students to computer programming (even my kindergartners) and teaching them about digital citizenship.
Teaching and training teachers in the use of technology and iPads both in my school and in the surrounding states through workshops extends my ability to influence professionals and their students.
