Feeding The LiteracyTech Bug

The Description

With these funds I will purchase 6 Chromebooks to run a literacy/tech center in my K-1 classroom. My students are only permitted one half hour per week scheduled in the school computer lab to do a literacy program/work on their computer skills. The goals of the Literacy Skills program are to put in an additional half hour each week per student. The only way to achieve this goal is to run a center in my classroom, and we don't have the technology to do so.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal, I plan to add up to $400. from my teacher's account. (I've been saving up and adding to it for the past 2 years.)

Fundraiser Updates (2)

Thank you to our investors!

December 24, 2017

I'd like to send a thoughtful big thank you to our investors!

PledgeCents has notified me that they are sending a check to my school and that we should receive it after winter break in January 2018. With the funds you helped us raise, we are "on the road" to purchasing Chromebooks for my classroom. My students and their families were inspired by your generous contributions, and have decided to add to the money raised through PledgeCents. In January 2018 they plan to do 1 more private fundraiser within our class at Brook Knoll Elementary. This new team of dedicated parents is confident we will raise the rest of the funds needed to purchase at least 5 Chromebooks at the start of the 2018! Yay!!

Again, on behalf of my classroom's students and their families, thank you so much for your contributions!

Sincerely,

Sandi Lewandowski

Thank you to both TG and RL for your kind donations. Every little bit helps! I forgot to update my teacher profile before I submitted this fundraiser. This year marks my 19th year teaching in elementary school. I currently teach a K-1 combo class at Brook Knoll Elementary in Scotts Valley, CA. I have a wonderful group of Kindergarten and first grade students whom I have the pleasure of working with this year. Please consider donating to our fund raiser so that my students can have access to technology and build their literacy skills as well. Thank you sincerely, Sandi Lewandowski
