This year I am not just teaching writing, I am starting a publishing company sustained entirely by students. All donations will help me to create an inspiring, engaging, and professional writing environment for them. This will cultivate an air of authenticity, which will demand that they take ownership of their work and push themselves to create beautiful and high-quality work. 

With these funds I will...

• Start an "inspiration station" with models of strong writing from poems, graphic novels, articles, and songs, to essays and novels. This will provide frequent access to resources for students. • Purchase supplies for writing workshops and organizing materials: Magazine holders for paper collection and distribution (2 per class period, $80), highlighters ($20), post-it notes ($20), bins ($50).
