The Description
There is perhaps no moment more memorable to a young scientist than the day they dissect their first frog. A right of passage for most American middle school students, KAI Innovators have the wonderful opportunity to dissect their frogs in the sixth grade! With these funds we will be able to buy frog and cow eye specimens that will give students a hands-on experience with which they can directly connect concepts learned in our body systems and senses unit.
As a founding school, there are still many supplies that we do not have. Being a STEAM school, we would like to leverage the funds that we already have available in order to budget for other purchases such as Chromebook data collection and analysis software for our regular lab experiences and some of the more expensive supplies that are required for us to continue to grow our robotics program.
Supplies include:
40 frogs ($5.90 - $7 per unit)
40 cow eyes ($3.10 each)
Shipping and handling (~$30)
Gloves ($8.19 per set of 100)
Paper towels ($21.39 per case of 16 packs; 125 per pack)
Back Up Plan
If we do not meet our goal, whatever money is raised will be applied to the overall purchase of dissection specimens.
