With these funds I will buy two 16 GB iPad Mini's with Retina Display ($762.05) and  two black STM duz cases ($85.85) from Apple to have for student use in the classroom. Students will be able to use these throughout the day for Daily 5, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. We will also use them when we skype and mystery skype to pull up maps and information about countries and continents that we are traveling to. Our class is the first class in our district to connect with others via Twitter and have students tweet (find our class on twitter at @beverly_ladd). Having these iPads would give more opportunites for students to connect globally through twitter and other online sites to learn with other children all over the globe. Students will be able to tweet with these Ipad Mini with teacher supervision.
