The Description
Reading...the final (and most rewarding) frontier! Casey Crocodile Readers are out of this world and we would like to reward our top readers with a field trip to Blazer Tag Adventure Center in March 2016.
Our school library media center supports the Accelerated Reader (AR) reading incentive program and I am currently running a space themed reading contest for 3rd - 5th grades. We are projecting that 150 of our our top readers will earn an invitation to "AR Reward Day II" in March 2016 (pending funding). We were able to take 65 of our top readers to the movies to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in January thanks to our last PledgeCents fundraiser and now we are excited to reward them with this next field trip!
The cause goal includes rental of the space themed Blazer Tag Adventure Center so that our top readers can play laser tag and enjoy the video game arcade for 2 hours. The cost of transportation (3 Austin ISD school buses) will be $240.00. I have contacted the Blazer Tag Adventure Center and obtained all of the necessary pricing information. Please see the attached link for more information. Blazer Tag Adventure Center http://www.blazertag.com/index.php
Cost of Field Trip
Blazer Tag Adventure Center Rental (2 hours) = $898.00
$5.00 of game tokens for each student (150 students) = $750.00
Transportation (3 Austin ISD School Buses) = $240.00
5% Pledgecents platform fee ($94.40) and 3% investment fee ($56.64) = $151.04
Total cost = $2,039.04
We would sincerely appreciate your help to reward our best readers with a field trip that they will never forget. Together we can encourage them to go read more books than our Casey Crocodiles have ever read before! Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Mr. John Garcia
Casey Librarian
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will rent and borrow video games and video game consoles and transform our school library into a "video game arcade" for the day. I will also purchase items at the grocery store to create my own "snack packs" for our students while they enjoy video games in the library. We do not have the means to pay for this type of reward field trip without the generous donations of sponsors like you.
