With these funds I will purchase book bags and puffy paint for my students to decorate them with to use to bring books and their school supplies to and from school. My students come from many racial and ethnic backgrounds from all across the San Francisco Bay area. Many of my students and English Language learners and many of my students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at our school. My students absolutely love coming to school but unfortunately many of them do not have backpacks, let alone books at home to read. With these book bags, each student would get a bag to decorate that would be theirs to keep and use to bring materials to and from school. 

I want students to be able to take home books from the classroom to practice reading at home and with these books bags, students will be able to take books homes easily and return them back to school for new books easily. My students deserve to have something to call their own and they deserve to have materials at home to help them in school, therefore these book bags would be amazing!
