The Description
As a teacher I am responsible for my very own classroom! I engage daily with my students and their families, and it is my responsibility to ensure that my classroom is a welcoming environment for everyone. One of the biggest hurdles that students in high need schools face is a lack of the necessary materials that are needed daily. We receive a lot of donations for supplies to begin the year, but over the past four months we have used up most if not all of them.
To get the second semester started off right, I will use the funds that I raise to purchase the supplies needed to welcome my students back to their classroom that is clean and stocked full with materials. This will allow me to provide the required supplies to students that otherwise would not have them. I will also purchase copy paper to ensure that I can provide my students with high quality learning materials, whether that is exit tickets, independent activities, or homework.

About the Creator
My students will be mainly juniors and seniors, most will just be starting to prepare for college. Miami Northwestern is listed under M-DCPS ETO (Educational Transformation Office) which categorizes this school as well as over 60 others as the lower performing schools in the county and in need of extra support and assistance for our students, who all experience high levels of poverty and educational inequity
